Camp Sunny Days 2019 - West Road School (Advanced)
Please be aware in an effort to minimize some of the work of registering your child/ren, the Medical Screening Form is now part of the required “checkout” process. This method completely eliminates having to print the form as well as then having to get it to the office.
* If your child/ren will be attending multiple PV Rec Camps this summer, the Medical Screening Form only needs to be filled out, IN ITS ENTIRETY, one time.

The mission of Pleasant Valley Camp Sunny Days is to provide an environment where girls and boys can participate in supervised, varied, pro-social, summer recreational activities with their peers such as: Sports, Arts & Crafts, Group Play, Board Games, Special Events, Day Trips and more!
This year, we will continue to offer to children entering 1st grade through entering 7th grade in September 2019 for residents and eligible non-residents.
Camp is located at Joseph D'Aquanni West Road School
Drop off at West Road begins at 9 AM
Pick up at West Road is from 2:30 - 3 PM
Early Registration - ENDS April 15th - *$10 discount applied at checkout
**Must be REGISTERED AND PAID by April 15th to receive discount.

NOTE: ARLINGTON SUMMER LEARNING ACADEMY STUDENTS INTERESTED IN ATTENDING CAMP SUNNY DAYS - PLEASE CONTACT THE RECREATION OFFICE FOR DETAILS.
Session 1 runs from July 1st - July 12th (Closed Thursday, July 4th)
Session 2 runs from July 15th - July 26th
Session 3 runs from July 29th - August 9th
All campers must wear stable, sturdy footwear daily. This is a safety issue. Flip flops are NOT allowed.
Absolutely no early drop-offs in the AM, & participants must be picked up no later than 3 PM; pick-up begins at 2:30 PM.
Water bottles are necessary; Lunch should be brought daily in an insulated bag, if possible. Please mark all belongings with child's name.
Note: Please make sure your child leaves all electronic devices and valuables at home. There is no need for them at camp. The Town of Pleasant Valley is not responsible for lost or stolen items.
Dress your child for the weather, and consult the calendar for special events that may require a change of clothes.
Each camper will receive one t-shirt per season (not session) to be worn on day trips.
Counselors and staff are not able to apply sunscreen or bug repellent. Please make sure any protection of this kind is applied prior to camp. Campers may apply it themselves if they wish during the day.
The registration process asks for "Who Will / May Pick up your child from camp" each day. If someone other than the pick-up designees will pick up your child, there needs to be a note sent to the Camp Director stating such. ID of this person will be required at the time of pick-up.
End of camp, the campers who will be aging out of camp next year will be given the opportunity to discuss the possibility of registering for the following year’s JR. LEADERSHIP PROGRAM and will be interviewed/reviewed by either the Day Camp Director or the Assistant Day Camp Director.

Any Two Week Session: Residents $170.00; Eligible Non-residents $220.00 (early registration discount rate of $10 applied at checkout prior to June 1st)
Day Trip Cost: One per two week session $20 (ea)

IMPORTANT MEDICAL INFORMATION
**RECORD OF IMMUNIZATIONS: Dutchess County Department of Health regulations require that we have the dates of these immunizations on file from Physician's records. Please submit a copy of these records IMMEDIATELY, either by having the doctors office fax them directly to the Rec Office, 845-266-3873, via regular mail to 1554 Main Street, Pleasant Valley, or if need be they can be dropped by the Rec Office located at 27 Hibernia Road, Salt Point.
A Camp physical is not mandatory, but any and all health concerns must be noted.
IMMUNIZATION RECORDS MUST BE RECEIVED BY 12 NOON, THE WEDNESDAY BEFORE START OF RESPECTIVE CAMP SESSION, OTHER WISE YOUR CHILD CANNOT ATTEND THE FIRST DAY OF CAMP SESSION.

Day camp trips include transportation provided.
All trips may result in an extended day. Please confirm pick up time day of trip.

Session 1 ~ July 10th - Bowling Alley - Trip includes, transportation, 2 games, shoe rental, slice of pizza or hot dog & soda.
Session 2 ~ July 17th - Rain Date July 18th - Alpaca Farm - Trip includes, transportation, entrance to the farm. Please send camper with lunch and snacks.
Session 3 ~ July 31st - Rain Date August 1st - Town of Stanford Rec. Park - Trip includes, transportation, swimming, field games (Volleyball, Kickball, & Badminton) and activities (Ultimate Frisbee & Obstacle Course). Please send camper with lunch and snacks.
PLEASE NOTE: There is a concession stand with the following prepackaged items for purchase-all under $2; Water, Gatorade, Chocolate, Candy, Chips & Ice Cream Bars.
PLEASE BE AWARE THAT THERE IS NO CAMP THE DAY OF A TRIP, WHICH MEANS IF YOUR CHILD IS NOT ATTENDING THE SCHEDULED TRIP, YOU WILL NEED TO MAKE ALTERNATE PLANS THAT DAY.
